GRAPE VARIETAL(S)
Chardonnay
Shar-do-NAY
Chardonnay may be the most versatile white wine grape, often seen as a blank canvas. It displays various flavors and aromas depending on where it is grown and more specifically, how it is made. It can range in Palate Character from Bright & Crisp to Rich & Full depending on the climate. It is also particularly malleable and highly affected by winemaking choices like as malolactic fermentation, lees stirring, barrel fermentation and ageing practices.

Morgen Long

Willamette Valley, Oregon

Before starting his own label, Seth Morgen Long worked for several old and new world producers before returning to Oregon where, unlike most producers, he only focuses on chardonnay.

While he started with one vineyard in 2014, he now works with eight sites across the Willamette Valley, making the wine using traditional methods at the Lingua Franca Winery.

Morgen Long is an exciting new producer of chardonnay who is doing his part to show the potential of the Oregon terroir for Burgundian varietals. The wines have complex flavors, aromas, and crisp acidity, balancing concentration with energetic tension.
