100% See-RA
Syrah is widely planted throughout the world, but that was not so until the late twentieth century when Syrah was principally grown in the Rhone Valley and, as Shiraz, in Australia. Stylistically, the Palate Character of Syrah can vary depending on ripeness from a rich Round & Fleshy, Tone & Backbone, to a Powerful & Extracted. The flavors and aromas can also vary with a dark, sometimes sweet, fruit character, varying amount of spice, floral, and earth, and smoke, and meaty aromas and flavors.

Vincent Paris

Cornas, Northern Rhône Valley

Vincent Paris, who started making his own wine in 1997, is one of the young standard bearers for quality in the Rhône, especially recognized for the quality of his limited-production Cornas.

The concentration in Vincent Paris’s wines are defined by old vines that are rigorously pruned so they yield no more than a miniscule four grape clusters per vine. Vincent Paris is most recognized for Cornas Granit 30 and 60 designations, which are two very differently styled wines that reference the soil makeup, vines, and slope on which they are planted.

The Granit 30 is more defined by concentrated black fruit, whereas the 60 is more classically defined by a very age-worthy, mineral-driven wine. Both are dense, complex, and representative of the potential of Cornas.
