Trapiche

Mendoza, Argentina

Trapiche is a 2,470-acre estate located in Mendoza, Argentina at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Despite its enormous size, the estate utilizes the laborious practice of biodynamic farming.

Biodynamic farming is done according to moon cycles and forbids the use of chemicals, herbicides, or fungicides, aiming to create a balanced ecosystem, biodiversity, and the recovery of bacterial activity in the soil. The only fertilizers allowed are vegetable and animal wastes from biodynamic farms.

Even though Trapiche is the largest exporter of Malbec in Argentina, their biodynamic practices result in grapes and wines of impressive flavor and presence.
